Raising funds for “Trees For The Future” $20 cash donation is requested.
The purpose of the Global Mala Project is to unite the global yoga community from every continent in the world, forming a “mala around the earth” through collective practices based upon the sacred cycle of 108. On September 20-21, 2008, Fall Equinox and the United Nations International Day of Peace, studios, teachers and organizations across the globe will create fundraising celebrations, raising funds and awareness for some of the most essential issues of our times.
We are grateful for all who helped contribute to the first Global Mala Project event for the Toronto area last September. With your contribution to the Toronto/Mississauga/Brampton events in September 2007 that we helped to organize, we planted 13,900 trees through “Trees For The Future”!! These trees are planted in some of the most devastated & deforested areas in the world, contributing to the greening of our planet and provide sustainable food and resources to the communities in which the trees are planted…recognizing that we are a global community!
We welcome any who wish to contribute to make this event a fantastic success…please email Michelle Cormack at: michelle@5elementsyoga.com
